FREEFALL Pinot Noir
Made to excite and satisfy, Freefall wines have an upfront and contemporary style. Freefall wines are adventurous, innovative and deliver value with the wines being consistent from vintage to vintage.
The grapes for Freefall Pinot Noir are picked from Central Otago vineyards according to clones, and each clone is fermented individually with predominantly wild yeasts to build complexity. No more than 20% of the ferments are whole bunch. The wines are then transferred to three year old air-dried French barriques, new oak also being used. The majority of older oak used is to ensure the clean vibrant fruit flavours that Central Otago is famous for are pronounced.
Freefall Pinot Noir has aromas of plums and floral notes which give way to a generous palate full of chocolate, black fruits and black liquorice. This is a big value Pinot Noir at a fraction of the cost.
