Variety:
100% Pinot Gris
Region: 100%
Waipara
Philosophy:
Freefall Wines take inspiration from New Zealand’s adventurous spirit and are
best enjoyed following the conquering of your own personal challenge!
Winemaking:
Sourced from one of the best Pinot Gris vineyard in Waipara, (located 40
minutes drive north of Christchurch) the fruit was crushed and destemmed before
cold settling the juice. The texture and viscosity resulted from a low press
extraction. A cool ferment built the fresh fruit characters, which was then
followed by 3 months on light fermentation lees. It was finally fined and
filtered before release.
Tasting Notes: Freefall Pinot Gris is a wine that can be tasted any time of day. With aromas of pear drops, white peaches and flavours of apricot juice, the rich luscious texture makes this wine very morish. Get some while you can!
