van Asch wines have an emotional and historical attachment to Central Otago. The characteristics of each wine reinforce the connection with the region and the flavours that have always been here.
The home to van Asch wines is the Winehouse & Kitchen, a restored original farm villa relocated adjacent to the Kawarau Bungy Centre at the gateway to Queenstown.

The Winehouse & Kitchen is farmhouse concept restaurant and cellar door which has an emphasis on warm welcomes and provides a place to showcase the wines of the van Asch wine brand.
Henry van Asch is the owner of van Asch wines while also being the co-founder of AJ Hackett Bungy and in 1993 diversified into the wine industry.
Today van Asch wines produce Pinot Noir, Syrah, Riesling, Pinot Gris and a Syrah Rose from the van Asch Central Otago vineyards.
It is with pride and enjoyment that van Asch wines have crafted the wines as a reflection of the land.
The winemaking aim is best summed up by “fine wine begins with the vine”. The van Asch wines approach is through sustainable viticulture where a balance’ in the vineyard is strived for. This ultimately provides grapes that are a reflection of each particular site or as the French say ‘terroir’.
